Just as with gasoline. Conserve! Conserve! Grow as much of your own food as you can.
Buy in bulk. Buy locally from farmers. Pick your own fruit, where possible. Buy mostly unprocessed foods. Stay away from the ripoff stores.

No such good news for truckers... This $h*t used to be CHEAPER than gasoline. For crying out loud it's easier to make!! There's some real profiteering going on around here. It's no wonder refineries have put 4 foot thick concrete walls up.
